Tips
How to get here
Prea lies approximately 300 km (190 miles) northwest of Fortaleza and can be accessed by bus or car. The cheapest way is to arrive by bus. This costs around 15 euro’s per person and is a 6.5 hours trip in an air conditioned bus.
On request we can arrange a transfer by a 4x4 car which will cost around 200 euro’s per car and is a 4 hours trip.
Money
You need local currency (Reais) before getting to Prea. In Prea and Jeri there are no banks or machines or changing offices. The nearest by place with a bank machine is Jijoca (30 minutes by buggy). Also there you can only use a cash machine and not changing money or traveler checks. Cash can be exchanged or withdrawn from bank machines in Fortaleza or at the airport (be aware that the bank machine at the airport is not always in function). Try to get small bills, while it can be difficult to get change here.
